Inspiring creativity + confidence in your wardrobe
For those of you who don’t know, this is a Cajun French phrase meaning “let the good times roll.” That friends is truly the spirit in Southern Louisiana, tbh, the entire year but especially during the Mardi Gras season. I lived in Baton Rouge for two years during grad school at LSU and while it was only a short time, the energy was infectious and I felt like I was a part of the family down there. I attended the Spanish Town Mardi Gras Parade while down there and it was so much fun. Now I’m not talking about what you see on TV or the stereotypical things that might pop in your head when you hear the words Mardi Gras. I’m talking about families and friends having fun, responsibly, because of this shared celebration.
There is so much history in this Louisiana state holiday. I found this feature that talks about the history of Mardi Gras and it is so interesting. Check it out and let me know which one you find most fascinating?!
