Summer is here and as temperatures rise I wanted to share a few more summer outfits. These looks are red, white and blue inspired since July 4th is right around the corner. The 4th of July is always a fun holiday, mainly because we are able to celebrate America, but also because it falls in the middle of summer. Perfect for swimming parties, cook-outs with the family or patio gatherings with friends. My holiday will be pretty relaxed because I don’t have any set plans but I will definitely need to scoop up a hot dog and Coca-Cola! Do you have any fun plans for the 4th this year?!
Luckily red, white and blue are always in style and classic for summer pairings. From casual to dressy it’s easy to add patriotic vibes to your look. Check out these six different styles for summer with some of my favorite pieces.
Summer Dresses
These two dresses are lightweight and perfect for the summer heat. Even though they have longer sleeves, their fabric is breathable and comfortable. Summer is a great season to show your personality with dresses with texture and dimension. I love to have dresses with ruffles especially in the summer because they won’t be covered by a cardigan or coat. When you have a dress with patterns (like these polka dots) or ruffles it is best to add accessories that are solid colors. This helps to keep the outfit from not getting too busy, like the addition of a solid colored purse and shoes, like with these outfits.

Denim Shorts
Denim shorts, a classic piece and typical American uniform for summer days. There are so many things you can add to denim shorts like a knotted, white tee which is a perfect comfy look. These red Vans and navy headband were simple accessories that I loved to add to make this outfit great for a summer barbecue. In this second look I wanted to dress it up a bit with this lightweight, bright red sweater. This look would go great for an event inside or a cooler summer evening and with these studded mules you’ve got the best casual chic look.

Dark Jeans
Dark wash jeans are my favorite style of pants to wear, other than leggings of course! These Rockstar jeans are so comfy, flattering and easy to mix and match with things. Also since these jeans are darker you can choose tops that have bolder colors, which is what I did here. I added two bright, sleeveless blouses to these jeans to keep them fitting for summer. With studded mules and heels these outfits could be worn at work or out for date night. I think my favorite look out is this last look with the red blouse and dark jeans. The small ruffles at the neckline on this top and black heels make it look put together and great for any July event.
